Our family has been considering getting a permit to carry in Arizona. While a Utah permit is recognized in Arizona, getting the permit will add Nevada to the list of places to carry. While this is probably the most useful since Nevada is so close to the Utah border, a few other states are added by obtaining an Arizona conceal carry license (http://www.azdps.gov/Services/Concealed_Weapons/Reciprocity/).

More information about obtaining an Arizona Concealed Carry Permit may be found at the Arizona Department of Public Safety Website: http://www.azdps.gov/Services/Concealed_Weapons/Permits/Obtain/ According to the website, you do not need to be an Arizona resident to obtain the permit. Just a citizen of the United States. There are a few other qualifications, but they are similar to those to obtain a Utah permit.

For me, I do not agree of having a license in carrying a gun. Crime will surely go higher when it is implemented.
